ISLAMABAD—Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held crucial meetings with the Ambassadors of Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Tuesday to discuss the rapidly evolving security situation in the Middle East, following the Iranian missile attack on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

In his discussions with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malkiy, the Prime Minister stressed Pakistan’s firm commitment to working closely with Riyadh to promote regional stability through dialogue and diplomacy.

Speaking with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malkiy, the Prime Minister expressed deep concern over recent developments and stressed that Pakistan would continue to work in close coordination with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to uphold regional stability.

“Pakistan believes in peaceful resolution through dialogue and diplomacy and will work with Saudi Arabia to ensure lasting peace in the Middle East,” Prime Minister Shehbaz posted on X.

He conveyed prayers and well wishes for King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reaffirming Pakistan’s enduring brotherly ties with Saudi Arabia.

In a separate meeting with Qatari Ambassador Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater, Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed solidarity with the Amir of Qatar and the Qatari people following the recent missile attack targeting the U.S. air base in Doha.

“We pray for the safety and security of our Qatari brothers and sisters and the stability of the entire region,” said the Prime Minister.

He emphasized that Pakistan consistently advocates peaceful dialogue as the only viable path toward regional peace.

The Prime Minister had earlier conducted telephonic consultations with both envoys on Monday night, shortly after news emerged of the missile strike. He voiced serious concern over the security implications of the attack and called for immediate de-escalation to avoid further deterioration of the situation.

Both ambassadors expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s timely engagement and diplomatic outreach. The Qatari envoy thanked the Prime Minister for his solidarity during a critical moment, while the Saudi ambassador agreed on the necessity of continued bilateral coordination to foster peace in the Middle East.
