
Pakistani President Receives Credentials from Envoys of Five Countries

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday welcomed the newly appointed envoys of Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Austria, and Germany, who formally presented their diplomatic credentials at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
During the ceremony, President Zardari highlighted Pakistan’s desire to expand bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, economy, culture, and regional stability. He congratulated the envoys on their new assignments and expressed confidence that their tenure in Pakistan would help strengthen diplomatic ties and open new avenues of collaboration.
Newly Appointed Envoys
The following diplomats presented their credentials:
- Rear-Admiral H.L.A. Don Fred Senevirante – High Commissioner-designate of Sri Lanka
- Chandra Warsenanto – Ambassador-designate of Indonesia & Chairman of ASEAN Countries
- Kylychbek Sultan – Ambassador-designate of Kyrgyzstan
- Wolfgang Oliver Kutschera – Ambassador-designate of Austria
- Ina Ruth Luise Lepel – Ambassador-designate of Germany
On their arrival, the envoys were accorded a guard of honour by a contingent of the Armed Forces.
The President reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to building stronger relations with partner countries, emphasizing the importance of economic cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, and cultural diplomacy. He said Pakistan values its long-standing partnerships and looks forward to working with the new envoys to enhance global cooperation for mutual benefit.
