Pakistan’s Ambassador Highlights Kashmir Advocacy in Brussels Meeting with Marjan Lucas
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, held a significant meeting in Brussels with Dutch human rights and peace advocate Marjan Lucas, commending her consistent support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
During the meeting, Ambassador Qureshi appreciated Lucas’s continued dedication to voicing the plight of oppressed communities globally, particularly her role in spotlighting the humanitarian crisis in Kashmir. He acknowledged her influential work in urging the international community to take meaningful action.
Ambassador Qureshi stressed the importance of international collaboration in defending human rights and called for stronger global advocacy for a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute. He reiterated Pakistan’s firm stance that the conflict must be resolved in line with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the democratic aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The meeting underscored the role of civil society and international human rights defenders in addressing prolonged conflicts.
