Pakistan’s Economic Recovery Supported by Saudi Arabia, Ishaq Dar

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s crucial role in stabilizing Pakistan’s economy. Speaking at the event in Islamabad organized by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), Dar highlighted Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support during Pakistan’s economic crisis and the critical assistance it provided in securing the IMF deal. He further revealed that a high-level Saudi delegation will visit Pakistan this week to discuss investment and business projects worth $2 billion.

During the ceremony, agreements were signed for various projects in Pakistan, including health, education, and reconstruction efforts in flood-affected areas. The King Salman Relief Center’s Assistant Supervisor General for Operations, Engineer Ahmed Al-Baiz, announced that $14 million would be allocated to initiatives such as building schools and healthcare centers, with a special focus on disaster management.

Additionally, Al-Baiz stated that KSRelief has already undertaken 247 projects in Pakistan, worth $12 billion. Under the new agreements, 300 community schools will be established across the country, benefiting over 15,000 children. Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to Pakistan’s long-term development and prosperity.

These initiatives reflect the enduring brotherhood between the two nations, as both Dar and Al-Maliki underscored the deep-rooted ties and mutual support shared by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
