Pakistan’s Envoy Participates in Swearing-In Ceremony of Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong

 

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Rabia Shafiq, took part in the official inauguration ceremony of Singapore’s newly appointed Prime Minister Lawrence Wong along with his cabinet ministers.

The prestigious ceremony, held at the Istana—the official residence of the President of Singapore—marked a historic transition in Singaporean leadership. Rabia Shafiq extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Wong and his team on assuming office and wished them success and prosperity in their new responsibilities.

She also expressed confidence that under the new leadership, bilateral relations between Pakistan and Singapore would continue to deepen across various sectors, including economic cooperation, education, and technology.

Lawrence Wong was sworn in as Singapore’s fourth Prime Minister, following the retirement of longtime leader Lee Hsien Loong. The event was attended by local and international dignitaries, reflecting the significance of the occasion.
