Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the Maldives, Vice Admiral (R) Faisal Rasul Lodhi, officially presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, in a formal ceremony held at the Maldives Headquarters.

Escorted by the Maldives National Defence Force’s Cultural Band, Vice Admiral Lodhi was accompanied by Deputy Head of Staff Zulqarnain Ahmed. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including the President’s Chief of Staff Abdullah Fayyaz, Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs Mohamed Naseer, and Foreign Secretary Fatima Anaya.

During the meeting, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu congratulated Vice Admiral Lodhi on his appointment and expressed his desire to further solidify the brotherly relations between Pakistan and the Maldives.

Vice Admiral Lodhi conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister, underscoring the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.

  • Defense: Enhancing strategic and defense-related cooperation.

Both dignitaries reiterated their commitment to further strengthening the cordial relationship between the two countries. President Muizzu emphasized the importance of continuing to build on the existing framework of cooperation, while Vice Admiral Lodhi assured full support from Pakistan in advancing shared interests.
