Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, underscored the significance of the country’s participation in GITEX Global, set to take place from October 14 to 18. Speaking on Sunday, he expressed pride in Pakistan being named the ‘Tech Destination of the Year 2024’ by GITEX Global, highlighting this recognition as a clear indication of Pakistan’s advancements in the IT and technology sectors.

The ambassador emphasized that this accolade solidifies Pakistan’s emerging role as a hub for digital innovation and entrepreneurship. With GITEX Global being the world’s largest technology exhibition, the event provides a prime opportunity for Pakistan to showcase its capabilities.

A contingent of 24 leading exhibitors will represent Pakistan, aiming to highlight the country’s growing expertise in the IT sector. Tirmizi noted that GITEX Global serves as an ideal platform for companies to network with global tech leaders, investors, and potential collaborators.

The Government of Pakistan is facilitating a dedicated 156-square-meter exhibition space at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where Pakistani companies are set to leave a lasting impression. This year’s participation signifies Pakistan’s expanding influence in the global digital economy and reinforces its potential as a key player in the IT landscape.

GITEX Global is renowned for uniting tech giants, government representatives, startups, and investors, fostering an environment for transformative innovations. Pakistan’s involvement reflects its commitment to advancing its digital economy and enhancing its global presence in the tech industry.
