PEMRA and NITB Sign MoU for Mobile App Development

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) and the National Information Technology Board (NITB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of a mobile application aimed at enhancing public access to PEMRA’s regulatory services.

The MoU was signed at PEMRA’s headquarters by Muhammad Tahir, Director General Operations, Broadcast Media & Public Relations at PEMRA, and Dr. Babar Majid Bhatti, CEO of NITB. The ceremony was attended by PEMRA Chairman Muhammad Saleem, Executive Member Sikandar Rashid Chaudhry, and senior officials from both organizations.

Chairman PEMRA expressed gratitude to NITB’s CEO for his collaboration, emphasizing that the mobile app would streamline public access to regulatory services, particularly for the registration of complaints and their resolution. This initiative is expected to further improve PEMRA’s operational efficiency.

Other attendees at the event included PEMRA’s Director General of Licensing Broadcast Media Wakeel Khan, Director General for Information Technology Zeba Tabassum, and several other senior officials.
