PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets Nepalese Counterpart, Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with his Nepalese counterpart, K.P. Sharma Oli, on Friday, expressing Pakistan’s desire to strengthen multi-faceted bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of commerce, economy, trade, and tourism.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, saw both leaders reaffirm their commitment to exploring opportunities for enhancing bilateral and regional cooperation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz congratulated K.P. Sharma Oli on assuming office as Nepal’s Prime Minister and expressed satisfaction with the strong bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Nepal. He also conveyed warm wishes to the people and government of Nepal on behalf of Pakistan.

During the discussion, Prime Minister Shehbaz extended an invitation to the Nepalese prime minister to visit Pakistan, furthering the friendly ties between the two countries.
