President Asif Ali Zardari met Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in Lisbon to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.

During the meeting at Palácio Nacional de Belém, Zardari emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Portugal. He also invited President Rebelo de Sousa to visit Pakistan, highlighting the importance of high-level exchanges in deepening diplomatic relations.

As Pakistan and Portugal mark 75 years of diplomatic ties in 2025, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to fostering economic collaboration and cultural partnerships.
