President Zardari Receives Diplomatic Credentials from Envoys of Five Nations
President Asif Ali Zardari received the credentials of non-resident envoys from Angola, Jamaica, Luxembourg, Uruguay, and Malta during an official ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Wednesday.
The newly appointed diplomats presented their credentials in the presence of senior officials, marking the beginning of their tenure in fostering bilateral relations with Pakistan. The envoys included:
- Julio Belarmino Gomes Maiato – Ambassador-designate of Angola
- Arthur Williams – Ambassador-designate of Jamaica
- Roland Reiland – Ambassador-designate of Luxembourg
- Beraldo Roque Nicola Flaniguen – Ambassador-designate of Uruguay
- Raymond Bondin – High Commissioner-designate of Malta
President Zardari welcomed the diplomats and expressed optimism that their tenure would strengthen ties between Pakistan and their respective countries in key areas such as trade, investment, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. He assured them of Pakistan’s commitment to fostering diplomatic cooperation for mutual growth and prosperity.
