
President Zardari, Saudi Envoy Discuss Strengthening Economic and Cultural Ties

ISLAMABAD — The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday, where both sides discussed strategies to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, economy, and cultural exchange
President Zardari warmly welcomed the Saudi envoy and underscored the historic and fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, grounded in shared faith, mutual respect, and strategic partnership. He emphasized the importance of strengthening ties for the collective benefit of both nations.
President Zardari highlighted Pakistan’s investor-friendly climate, encouraging Saudi investors to explore the wide range of opportunities available in energy, agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, and technology sectors.
He noted that both nations enjoy aligned positions on key international and regional issues and continue to support each other in global forums such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations (UN).
The president expressed his gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s consistent support, particularly during times of economic challenges. He commended the Kingdom’s unwavering solidarity with Pakistan.
President Zardari also conveyed his warm regards to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties under their leadership.
The meeting was also attended by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, reflecting the importance both countries place on high-level dialogue and strategic partnership.
