Prime Minister Orders Strict Measures to Combat Human Trafficking

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed authorities to take decisive action against human trafficking, citing its role in tarnishing Pakistan’s image.

During a meeting discussing the recent deaths of Pakistani nationals in a boat capsizing incident in Greece, the Prime Minister expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of accountability. He highlighted the loss of 262 lives in a similar incident last year, attributing the recurrence of such tragedies to inadequate action against traffickers.

PM Shahbaz Sharif instructed the immediate implementation of the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) and demanded reports from the FIA and foreign ministry on incidents from the past year. He also called for enhanced collaboration with international organizations and a robust public awareness campaign.
