Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Highlights Strengthening Economic Ties Between Pakistan and Qatar

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that economic relations between Pakistan and Qatar continue to strengthen with each passing day.

Speaking at an event in Islamabad to mark Qatar’s National Day, he extended congratulations from the government and people of Pakistan to the Emir of Qatar. He noted that the bond between Pakistan and Qatar is rooted in deep friendship and cooperation.

Prime Minister Sharif acknowledged Qatar’s remarkable progress under the visionary leadership of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He specifically highlighted Qatar’s successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup as a prime example of the nation’s development in recent years.

During his address, Sharif mentioned his recent visit to Doha, where he inaugurated an exhibition showcasing Pakistani culture, expressing gratitude for the support of his sister, Sheikha Al Mayassa, and the Emir of Qatar. The exhibition featured vibrant elements of Pakistan’s cultural heritage.

The Prime Minister further stated that Qatar has shown a keen interest in investing in Pakistan. He expressed anticipation for the Emir of Qatar’s upcoming visit to Pakistan, which is expected to further strengthen bilateral economic relations. He also noted that there is ample opportunity to enhance trade and investment between the two countries.
