
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Riyadh for Arab-Islamic Summit

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, has arrived in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to participate in the Arab-Islamic Summit. At Riyadh’s Royal Airport Terminal, he was received by Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdul-Aziz, the Deputy Governor of Riyadh, alongside Pakistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia and other diplomatic officials.
The Pakistani delegation accompanying the prime minister includes Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Prime Minister Shahbaz said, “I will join the leaders of the Muslim Ummah at the Joint Arab Islamic Summit being convened to discuss the rapidly deteriorating situation in Gaza and speak with one voice for the rights of the Palestinian people and reaffirm our collective call for regional peace.”
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Shahbaz Sharif is set to deliver a key address at the summit. Additionally, meetings with global leaders on the sidelines of the event are expected.
