Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif Meets Azerbaijani Ambassador Khazar Farhadov
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Khazar Farhadov, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, at the Punjab Secretariat today. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing trade links, cultural exchanges, and cooperation in various sectors.
During the meeting, the Azerbaijani Ambassador appreciated the recent visit of Azerbaijan’s President and highlighted its importance for the further enhancement of bilateral relations. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif extended an invitation to Azerbaijani investors to explore investment opportunities in Punjab, emphasizing the potential for cooperation in sectors like education, health, agriculture, and energy.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the government’s efforts to position Punjab as a regional trade hub and stressed the need to benefit from Azerbaijan’s experience in tourism. She assured that special incentive packages would be offered to Azerbaijani investors interested in various sectors within the province.
The Chief Minister also informed the Azerbaijani Ambassador about the ongoing development projects in Punjab, particularly those aimed at public welfare. The Ambassador acknowledged the efforts of the Punjab government under Maryam Nawaz’s leadership and praised the initiatives in improving the quality of life for the people of the province.
Khazar Farhadov expressed Azerbaijan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Pakistan and emphasized the long-standing friendship between the two nations. He also commended the leadership of Maryam Nawaz Sharif in advancing the development agenda for the betterment of Punjab.
