Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Meets Turkish Consul General to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a productive meeting with the Turkish Consul General, Dr. Demir Bastag, where they discussed enhancing Pakistan-Turkey ties. The focus of the conversation was on promoting cooperation in trade, education, healthcare, agriculture, and tourism.

In the meeting, Maryam Nawaz acknowledged Turkey as a longstanding ally, referring to it as Pakistan’s “great friend and brother” for its unwavering support in difficult times. She assured that the Punjab government would offer full support to Turkish investors and improve the efficiency of the one-window operation for Turkish businesses in the region.

Dr. Demir Bastag appreciated the leadership of Maryam Nawaz and her government’s ongoing public welfare projects. He emphasized Turkey’s commitment to expanding its partnership with Pakistan, particularly in Punjab, and expressed readiness to collaborate further in various sectors.
