Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to host an Outreach/BRICS Plus meeting on the final day of the BRICS Summit in Kazan, which will include delegates from over 40 countries beyond the ten BRICS members. This extended format aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among nations from various regions, including the CIS, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
The agenda will focus on critical global issues such as sustainable development, peaceful conflict resolution, combating terrorism and transnational crime, poverty alleviation, climate change, and the stability of supply chains. Putin emphasized that these topics are essential for improving the lives of people in the participating countries and require collective action.
A significant emphasis will also be placed on the situation in the Middle East, as stated by Kremlin adviser Yury Ushakov.
Following the Outreach/BRICS Plus meeting, President Putin will hold a news conference to summarize the summit’s outcomes and respond to questions from a diverse group of journalists, including those from nations with strained relations with Russia. After this, he is expected to engage in bilateral discussions with other leaders attending the summit, aiming to connect with each representative .

The summit, which runs from October 22-24, is significant for Russia as it marks the end of its chairmanship of the BRICS group. Recently, the group expanded to include Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE as full members, effective January 1, 2024 .
