The registration process for Itikaf at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah will commence on March 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM local time. The General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that the registration will remain open until the designated capacity is reached.

As per the latest guidelines, only Saudi citizens and valid Iqama (residency permit) holders will be eligible to register for Itikaf. International pilgrims without a residency permit will not be permitted to apply. The decision aims to streamline the management of worshippers and ensure a smooth experience for all attendees.

Registered participants will be allowed to begin their Itikaf from the 20th of Ramadan. Each individual will be provided with a special identification card and a secure locker for their personal belongings.

Applicants can register through the official portal of the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques. The administration urges interested individuals to complete their registration at the earliest to secure their spot.

For further details and to complete the registration process, applicants are advised to visit the official website of the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.
