U.S. Senate elections, Donald Trump’s Republican Party has emerged victorious, securing a majority. According to American media reports, the Republicans won crucial seats in Ohio and West Virginia, solidifying their control in the upper chamber.
The Republican Party has now claimed 51 out of 100 Senate seats, marking an increase of two seats compared to the previous election. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party has managed to secure 43 seats thus far.
Previously, the Senate composition stood at 49 seats for the Republicans and 51 for the Democrats under Vice President Kamala Harris’s leadership. This recent win shifts the balance of power, giving the Republicans a clear upper hand.
In the presidential race, Donald Trump has also cemented his lead by surpassing the required 270 electoral votes, securing 277 votes to claim victory. This dual success is expected to strengthen Trump’s presidency and significantly impact the future policy direction of the Republican Party.
