Islamabad — The Embassy of Romania in Islamabad, in collaboration with the Arts Council of Pakistan, will present the World Culture Festival Karachi 2025, showcasing Romania’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and strengthening bilateral ties with Pakistan.
According to a press release issued on Friday, the festival will feature a special performance by acclaimed Romanian soprano Georgiana Costea Gluga on November 4, 2025. The event is expected to draw a diverse audience, celebrating global cultural exchange with Romania as a key participant.
As part of the festival preparations, a delegation from the Pakistan Romania Business Council (PRBC) — including Advisor and Chief Operating Officer Atif Farooqi and Chairman Sohail Shamim Firpo — met with Ahmed Shah, President of the Arts Council of Pakistan, to finalize logistical details.
Officials said the collaboration reflects Romania’s broader goal of fostering people-to-people connections, cultural understanding, and economic partnerships with Pakistan.
The Pakistan Romania Business Council’s support for the cultural festival underscores its dual role in promoting bilateral trade and cultural diplomacy. By bridging economic initiatives with cultural exchange, PRBC continues to strengthen diplomatic and business relations between Islamabad and Bucharest.
The upcoming performance by Mrs. Georgiana Costea Gluga is expected to be a centerpiece of the festival, symbolizing Romania’s dedication to showcasing its artistic heritage abroad while deepening ties with Pakistan.
