Russia and North Korea Begin Implementing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement

The comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Russia and North Korea, finalized in June, has officially come into effect. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko and North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Jong Gyu signed a protocol in Moscow to initiate the implementation of the partnership agreement.

According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this agreement lays the foundation for military cooperation in the event of an attack on either nation. It also aims to support the construction of a multipolar global system, contributing to an inseparable security framework in Northeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region.

The deal was originally signed during a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to North Korea in June, marking a significant step in bilateral relations.
