Russia Declares It Will Decide on Ukraine, Not the U.S.

Russia has firmly stated that decisions regarding Ukraine will be made by Moscow, not Washington, in response to Ukraine’s acceptance of a U.S.-proposed 30-day ceasefire.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova emphasized that Russia will independently determine its stance on the conflict, dismissing external influence.

“The Russian Federation’s position is not dictated by external agreements or efforts but is decided internally,” Zakharova asserted.

The statement signals Russia’s firm opposition to U.S. intervention in negotiations and underscores its commitment to maintaining control over the course of the ongoing conflict.
