Russia launched a combined assault on Ukraine overnight, deploying eight missiles and 87 drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

The attack, which targeted multiple regions, caused destruction in at least five areas across Ukraine’s southern, northeastern, and eastern territories. While authorities did not release detailed information regarding the missile strikes, they confirmed that air defense systems successfully intercepted 33 enemy drones.

In addition to the intercepted drones, Ukraine’s electronic warfare systems managed to divert another 36 unmanned aerial vehicles, helping to minimize further damage on the ground.

The Ukrainian Air Force described the assault as one of the more extensive drone-and-missile attacks in recent weeks, highlighting the continued threat to civilian infrastructure and national security.

Authorities are currently assessing the full extent of the damage, while emergency services remain on high alert across the affected regions.

This latest offensive underscores ongoing tensions and the continued need for advanced air defense capabilities amid Russia’s persistent attacks targeting Ukraine’s energy grid and critical infrastructure.
