Russia overnight Launches Major Drone Offensive Across Ukraine
Report By Safarti Tarjuman International Desk
Russia launched a large-scale drone assault across Ukraine overnight, striking multiple regions, Ukrainian officials confirmed on Sunday.
At least one civilian was killed and a 14-year-old girl was wounded in the city of Pavlohrad, located in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, regional Governor Serhii Lysak reported. Pavlohrad suffered attacks for the third night in a row as Russian forces intensified aerial operations.
Authorities revealed that close to 150 drones were deployed across Ukrainian territory, marking one of the most extensive single-night drone offensives in recent months. Several cities reported damage to civilian infrastructure and residential areas.
The drone strikes came amid claims from Moscow that Russian forces had regained full control of territories in the Kursk region, previously captured by Ukrainian troops during an unexpected offensive in August 2024. Ukrainian officials, however, refuted the claim, stating that intense fighting continues in the area.
Ukrainian defense authorities continue to assess the extent of damage caused by the latest attacks, with further updates expected as the situation unfolds.
