Russia Signals to Diplomate talk with Trump Administration on Ukraine Conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his country’s openness to diplomatic talks with the incoming U.S. administration regarding the Ukraine conflict, emphasizing the need to address its root causes.

During a meeting of Russia’s Security Council, Putin stated that Moscow remains willing to engage in dialogue with the U.S. under Donald Trump’s leadership, provided that discussions focus on eliminating the underlying issues that led to the war.

> “Russia ready diplomatic talks with the new U.S. administration on the Ukrainian crisis. The key priority is to address the fundamental reasons behind the conflict, something we have repeatedly emphasized,” Putin said.

Putin also noted that Moscow has been paying close attention to Trump’s recent statements regarding global stability and his desire to rebuild U.S.-Russia relations.

Throughout his campaign, Trump has claimed he could end the Ukraine war within 24 hours by brokering a settlement between Russia and Ukraine. Following his election victory, he reaffirmed his commitment to stopping the conflict in Ukraine, easing tensions in the Middle East, and preventing World War III.

Russia’s willingness to engage in talks could mark a diplomatic turning point in the Ukraine conflict, though the success of such negotiations will depend on how the Trump administration approaches U.S.-Russia relations.
