Russian Delegation Visits RUSEL Lahore to Boost Educational Ties and Cultural Cooperation

LAHORE — A three-member Russian delegation led by Mr. Vitali visited the Russian Centre for Science, Education and Culture (RUSEL) in Lahore, reaffirming Russia’s commitment to academic and cultural collaboration with Pakistan.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Shahid Hasan, Chairman of RUSEL and head of the Association for Pakistani Graduates from Russia and CIS (APGR). During the reception, Dr. Hasan underscored the long-standing friendship between the two nations and highlighted the role of science diplomacy and cultural engagement in strengthening ties.

“Our partnership with Russia is built on mutual trust, shared values, and a commitment to intellectual and cultural growth,” said Dr. Hasan. “Interest in the Russian language, scientific research, and educational exchange continues to grow rapidly in Pakistan.”

The visit focused on expanding avenues of cooperation in education, medical research, and intercultural understanding.

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Nizami, President of RUSEL, briefed the delegation on existing academic exchange programs and highlighted the organization’s role in connecting Pakistani students with Russian institutions.

“We are actively working to facilitate student mobility, research collaboration, and shared academic opportunities,” said Dr. Nizami. “This visit is a testament to our mutual desire for a stronger partnership.”

The event brought together scholars, educators, cultural experts, and students eager to explore Russian-Pakistani cooperation. The delegation praised the warm hospitality and expressed Russia’s continued interest in expanding ties with Pakistani institutions.
