Russian Language Courses Launched in Provincial Capital of Lahore

Lahore — Russian language education has officially been launched in the provincial capital under the auspices of the Russian Center for Science, Education, and Culture. An inaugural ceremony, presided over by the Center’s Chairman and Ambassador for Russian Science and Education, Dr. Shahid Hasan, marked the occasion.

In his keynote address, Dr. Shahid Hasan emphasized that the Center aims not only to offer Russian language instruction but also to provide extensive facilities and guidance to Pakistani students interested in pursuing higher education in Russian institutions. He noted that admission support for universities in Kyrgyzstan has also been initiated as part of these efforts, along with scholarship opportunities for talented students.

Professor Dr. Ashraf Nizami, Co-Chairman of the Center, delivered a detailed presentation on the course offerings, stating that certificates issued upon successful completion would be recognized by universities in both Russia and Pakistan.

Speaking at the event, Russian-origin language instructor Ms. Natasha Natallia highlighted that the courses would also immerse students in Russian literature and cultural studies, enriching their overall understanding of the language.

A cake-cutting ceremony concluded the event, which was attended by a large number of scholars, students, and professionals from diverse fields, reflecting significant interest in expanding educational and cultural ties.
