Russian Navy Flotilla Arrives in Karachi for Goodwill Visit

A Russian Navy Flotilla, consisting of frigates RFS REZKIY and RFS ALDAR TSYDENZHAPOV, along with the medium sea tanker RFS PECHENGA, has arrived in Karachi for a goodwill visit from March 15 to 18, 2025.

Upon arrival, the Russian naval vessels received a warm welcome from Pakistan Navy officials, along with the Russian Consul General and Defence Attaché. The visit aims to enhance maritime cooperation and strengthen bilateral naval ties between Pakistan and Russia.

During their stay, the Russian Navy crew will engage in professional discussions with Pakistan Navy personnel and participate in bilateral ship visits. Additionally, both navies will conduct joint maritime exercises to enhance operational coordination and interoperability.

Regular port visits and naval exercises between Pakistan Navy and Russian Navy play a crucial role in fostering mutual trust, strengthening maritime security, and deepening defence collaboration.

The visit of the Russian Flotilla marks a significant milestone in maritime diplomacy, reinforcing the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Russia in the domain of security and defence cooperation.
