Russian Troops Advance Into Ukraine’s Kursk Region, Confirms Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that Russian forces have crossed the border into Ukraine’s Kursk Region, marking a new phase in the ongoing conflict.

Speaking at a drone manufacturing plant in St. Petersburg, Putin confirmed that troops from the 810th Separate Guards Marine Infantry Brigade had advanced into Ukrainian territory overnight.

“The latest reports indicate that fighters from the 810th Brigade have crossed into Ukraine, successfully entering enemy-controlled areas,” Putin told reporters.

Putin emphasized that Russian forces are advancing across multiple sectors of the frontline, securing key positions and engaging Ukrainian forces.

“Our troops are progressing steadily along the entire line of contact,” he stated.

The 810th Brigade, known for its role in Mariupol’s capture and counteroffensive defense in Zaporozhye, has now been deployed to the Kursk region to counter Ukrainian military activity near the border.

Reports indicate that Russian units, including the 11th Separate Air Assault Brigade, 40th and 177th Marine Infantry Brigades, and specialized drone and volunteer formations, have been engaging Ukrainian forces in intensified clashes.

Earlier this month, Russian forces reportedly repelled eight waves of Ukrainian attacks, solidifying their defensive and offensive positions in the region.

The recent escalation raises concerns about wider regional instability and potential diplomatic repercussions. While Ukrainian officials have not yet responded to Russia’s claims, the move is expected to draw international scrutiny.

As the conflict intensifies, global attention remains fixed on how Western allies and international organizations will react to the latest developments.
