Rwanda Seeks Stronger Economic Ties with Pakistan
Pakistan is committed to enhancing its bilateral relationship with Rwanda, especially in trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated during a meeting with Rwandan Foreign Minister Ambassador Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe.
The Rwandan foreign minister is visiting Pakistan to explore avenues for cooperation and boost economic engagement between the two countries.
Focus on Economic Growth
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Rwanda relations. He emphasized the potential for expanded collaboration in multiple sectors, including trade, investment, education, and cultural exchange.
He welcomed Rwanda’s decision to establish a resident mission in Islamabad, calling it a significant step toward deeper diplomatic and commercial ties.
High-Level Delegation Visit
Nduhungirehe Foreign Minister of Rawandan is accompanied by a Rwandan business delegation. The group recently participated in a trade forum held in Lahore, aimed at connecting Rwandan enterprises with Pakistani businesses.
The visit underlines Rwanda’s growing interest in South Asia and its desire to build sustainable partnerships across new markets.
Cooperation at Global Forums
Both sides also discussed collaboration at the United Nations and other international platforms. Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to shared global goals, including economic development, climate action, and peacekeeping.
