Rwanda’s High Commissioner Seeks Stronger Science and Technology Ties with Pakistan
Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Harerimana Fatou, held a meeting with Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of the Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), to discuss future avenues for bilateral collaboration in science and technology.
During the meeting, High Commissioner Fatou highlighted the importance of fostering institutional cooperation between Rwanda and Pakistan, particularly in scientific research and technological advancements. She expressed gratitude to COMSTECH for awarding scholarships to four Rwandan students, emphasizing the value of such initiatives in strengthening academic and scientific ties.

The envoy underscored the role of scientific cooperation in bringing the two nations closer. She proposed expanding collaboration through exchange programs, bilateral linkages, and capacity-building projects in key scientific disciplines. Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary reaffirmed COMSTECH’s commitment to supporting scientific education and innovation in developing regions. He assured that Pakistan is eager to collaborate with Rwanda in leveraging science and technology for mutual growth and development.
