The Saudi government expressed optimism that the upcoming inaugural meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution will lead to tangible actions supporting UN initiatives. This significant gathering is scheduled to take place in Riyadh on Wednesday, aiming to establish a timeline for an independent Palestinian state and bring an end to Israeli occupation.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud led a Cabinet meeting in Riyadh, where he shared insights from his recent discussions, including a phone call with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The Cabinet reflected on Saudi Arabia’s recent participation in various international forums, emphasizing the Kingdom’s dedication to fostering partnerships and collaboration across multiple sectors to enhance global development and tackle pressing challenges.

Reiterating its stance at the BRICS Plus 2024 Summit, the Cabinet condemned the escalation of hostilities in the region, particularly the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, which pose significant risks to regional and international stability. The members underscored the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire, the provision of unrestricted humanitarian aid, and a solid commitment to achieving enduring peace.

During discussions at the International Conference in Support of Lebanon’s People and Sovereignty, the Cabinet highlighted the importance of collective action to assist Lebanon in navigating its current crisis, alleviating humanitarian consequences, and enabling Lebanese state institutions to assert sovereignty across the nation.

Additionally, the Cabinet expressed gratitude for the financial and in-kind pledges made by various countries and donor entities at a recent conference aimed at supporting displaced populations and refugees in the Sahel and Lake Chad regions, demonstrating Saudi Arabia’s commitment to humanitarian efforts globally.

The Cabinet also welcomed participants at the 8th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII8), which commenced in Riyadh on Tuesday under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The conference is expected to contribute to initiatives for economic stability, equitable development, climate change mitigation, and advancements in artificial intelligence, innovation, and health.

Highlighting the recent agreements and memoranda of understanding signed during the Energy Localization Forum, the Cabinet reported that 117 entities from both public and private sectors are involved in deals valued at approximately SAR 104 billion. These agreements are aimed at enhancing localization efforts in the energy sector and developing human capital.

The Cabinet also commended the outcomes of the Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum (MIPF), co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). Discussions focused on industrial policies to bolster integration, empower global supply chains, and stimulate entrepreneurship.

Furthermore, the Cabinet praised the significant initiatives and agreements worth over SAR 55 billion announced at the Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh, aimed at investing in state-of-the-art technologies, localizing pharmaceutical industries, and fostering research and development, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s leadership in the health sector.

Lastly, the Cabinet acknowledged the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for sponsoring the inaugural Global Corporate Social Responsibility Forum, which facilitated the signing of memoranda of understanding and is expected to open new pathways for sustainable social development, further enhancing the Kingdom’s accomplishments in this vital area.
