Saudi Arabia Alcohol Ban for 2034 FIFA World Cup.
Saudi Arabia has confirmed that alcohol will not be available during the 2034 FIFA World Cup, in line with the country’s strict dry laws.
Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the UK, stated in an interview with LBC News that while the country welcomes international visitors, its cultural values will remain unchanged.
“Saudi Arabia is a dry country. We don’t allow alcohol, but plenty of fun can be had without it.
FIFA officially confirmed Saudi Arabia as the 2034 World Cup host in December 2024, making it the second Middle Eastern nation to stage the tournament after Qatar 2022.
The tournament will be held across five cities—Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Abha, and Neom—with matches taking place in 15 stadiums.
Notably, the 2034 FIFA World Cup will feature 48 teams, marking the first edition under the expanded format, following its introduction in 2026.
