Saudi Arabia and Singapore Sign Agreement to Establish Strategic Partnership Council
During his visit to Singapore, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met with Singapore’s Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan on Wednesday. The meeting focused on reviewing the strong bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Singapore and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in various sectors in alignment with the aspirations of both countries’ leaderships and peoples.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a Strategic Partnership Council between the two nations. This agreement signifies a commitment to deepening the bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and Singapore, aiming to boost economic cooperation, increase trade exchange, and explore new horizons for partnership.
In a media briefing following the signing, the Foreign Minister emphasized that the establishment of the Strategic Partnership Council represents a unique opportunity to enhance mutual cooperation in various fields. He also highlighted that, under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 framework, the Kingdom seeks to leverage Singapore’s role as one of the global financial hubs to establish effective international partnerships.
