MAKKAH, Saudi officials have confirmed that Hajj 2025 concluded without any disease outbreaks or security incidents, marking a major success in one of the world’s largest annual religious gatherings.
Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz announced on Thursday that the movement of pilgrims between key holy sites—including Makkah, Mina, and Arafat—was completed smoothly and in record time, in accordance with detailed operational plans.
“Pilgrims were transported swiftly and safely while benefiting from fully integrated services provided by all relevant sectors,” Prince Saud stated.
The deputy governor emphasized the commitment of Saudi leadership and people in hosting the Hajj and serving the millions who arrive to perform the sacred rituals.
He also highlighted that the comprehensive service system, supported by significant financial and human resources, has been instrumental in maintaining health, order, and security throughout the pilgrimage.
“This is a major responsibility that we are honored and obligated to fulfill with dedication,” said Prince Saud.
These achievements, Prince Saud noted, are the result of meticulous planning and large-scale projects overseen by Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, aimed at enabling pilgrims to perform rituals with ease and comfort.
He further urged pilgrims to continue observing regulations, affirming:
“Your safety is our goal, and serving you is our purpose.”
The announcement comes as millions of Muslims marked the start of Eid al-Adha, gathering for prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, with the Kaaba at the center of devotion.
