Saudi Arabia Launches Major Food Security Program for Pakistan’s Vulnerable Families

Saudi Arabia has announced a large-scale food security initiative to assist thousands of underprivileged families across Pakistan. The program, spearheaded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), underscores the Kingdom’s continued support for its long-time ally.

At a ceremony held at the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad, Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki expressed Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to Pakistan. “It brings me immense pride to represent Saudi Arabia in this endeavor. The gift of 147,500 food packages will support families in need across Pakistan,” he said.

The relief effort aims to provide food assistance to impoverished communities in all provinces, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The initiative is part of KSRelief’s global mission to tackle food insecurity and promote humanitarian welfare.

Ambassador Al-Malki emphasized the program’s role in strengthening Saudi-Pakistani ties. “This initiative is a testament to the deep-rooted friendship and solidarity between our nations,” he stated.
