Saudi Arabia to Host Inaugural Arab Cybersecurity Ministers Council Meeting on Monday

Saudi Arabia is set to host the first-ever meeting of the Arab Cybersecurity Ministers Council on Monday, marking a significant step in regional collaboration on digital security. The meeting, organized by Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority, will be attended by ministers and senior officials responsible for cybersecurity from across Arab League member states, along with Arab League Secretary General, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

Key items on the agenda include discussions on the creation of an Arab cybersecurity strategy, the planning of joint cybersecurity exercises, and the examination of working papers submitted by the participating countries. These discussions are expected to lay the foundation for enhanced cybersecurity cooperation within the region.

The Arab Cybersecurity Ministers Council was established following a proposal by Saudi Arabia, with the goal of fostering coordinated efforts, policy development, and sharing of expertise in the field of cybersecurity.
