Security Forces Conduct Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 22 Militants Killed, 6 Soldiers Martyred

Security forces launched multiple operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on December 6 and 7, 2024, resulting in the elimination of 22 militants. However, 6 soldiers lost their lives in the ensuing firefights.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place in the Gul Imam area of Tank district, where intelligence reports led to a successful strike on militant hideouts. The operation resulted in 9 militants being killed and 6 others captured, wounded in the exchange.

A second operation was carried out in North Waziristan, where forces neutralized 10 militants. The third clash occurred in Thal district when militants launched an attack on a security forces post, killing 3 militants. Tragically, 6 soldiers were martyred in the exchange of fire.

The military has assured that clearance operations continue in the region to root out any remaining threats. The forces have reiterated their determination to eliminate terrorism, with the sacrifices of the fallen soldiers fortifying their commitment.
