Security forces successfully eliminated 12 terrorists during an operation in the Mangochar area of Kalat, Baluchistan, while 18 soldiers of the Frontier Corps (FC) embraced martyrdom in the fierce encounter.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists attempted to block a road in Mangochar, prompting an immediate response from security forces and law enforcement agencies. The swift action prevented the militants from executing their nefarious plans.

ISPR stated that the purpose of this cowardly terrorist act was to target innocent civilians and destabilize the region. However, the security forces effectively thwarted the attempt, ensuring the safety of the local population.

A sanitization operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining threats. Security agencies are also actively working to track down and bring the facilitators of these terrorists to justice. The military has reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying counterterrorism efforts to maintain peace and stability in Baluchistan.
