However, the prominent separatist leader has raised concerns about the “indiscriminate arrests” and the destruction of homes in the aftermath of the attack.

He highlighted that while justice for the victims is crucial, authorities must be careful not to target innocent Kashmiri families.

Farooq urged the authorities to ensure that efforts to seek justice for the victims of the attack should not result in collective punishment for innocent civilians in Kashmir. “I urge the authorities, that in seeking justice for the innocent victims, not to punish innocent Kashmiri families,” he added in his post.
