
Sharjah-Pakistan Business Roundtable Aims to Strengthen Economic Ties

The Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah) in partnership with the Pakistan Business Council in Sharjah, hosted the Sharjah-Pakistan Business Roundtable, attracting over 200 investors and entrepreneurs eager to explore new economic opportunities between Sharjah and Pakistan.
Consul General Hussain Muhammad addressed the gathering, reaffirming the long-standing and deep-rooted relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, which is built on shared values and mutual trust. He noted that the leadership of both nations remains committed to expanding political, trade, and economic relations. “Pakistan, with its diverse economy, skilled workforce, and rich natural resources, is ripe for collaboration. The agriculture, textile, IT, and renewable energy sectors present excellent opportunities for investors,” he remarked.
Highlighting the recent establishment of the Pakistan Business Council in Sharjah, Mr. Hussain expressed confidence that the Council would support Pakistani investors and facilitate partnerships to drive shared economic growth.
Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah’s Department of Government Relations, also attended the event, commending the enduring relationship between Sharjah and Pakistan and praising the contributions of the Pakistani community to the UAE’s growth.
Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, CEO of Invest in Sharjah, emphasized the growing economic bridge between the two regions, calling attention to Sharjah’s dynamic business ecosystem and Pakistan’s expanding industries, which complement each other.
The event featured a panel discussion with prominent leaders including Saif Al Suwaidi, Director of Sharjah Publishing City Freezone, Marwan Alichla, Director of Investment Promotion at Invest in Sharjah, Amir Hassan, Founder and Chairman of Diyar Group, and Hiba Al Marzouqi, Head of Business Councils at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Sharjah-Pakistan Business Roundtable served as an important platform for strengthening bilateral economic ties, with both regions recognizing the vast potential for collaboration across various industries.
