Supreme Leader Khamenei described the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria as the result of an American and Israeli conspiracy.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has firmly stated that the recent events in Syria are the outcome of a carefully crafted conspiracy by the United States and Israel. Speaking to representatives from various sectors of society, Khamenei stressed that while a neighboring country has played an active role in these events, the true masterminds behind the chaos are the U.S. and the Zionist regime.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, emphasized that based on reliable intelligence, there is no room for doubt regarding the involvement of these two powers in the unfolding situation. He stated that their plan has been in the works for some time and now, despite the contributions of other regional players, it is the U.S. and Israel that bear the primary responsibility.

The Supreme Leader expressed confidence that the Resistance Front, fueled by divine support, would continue to grow and expand. He dismissed claims by some analysts that the Resistance is weakening, instead asserting that Iran and its allies are only becoming stronger in the face of external pressure.

Khamenei also addressed the various foreign objectives in Syria, noting that while different actors have their own agendas, including territorial ambitions and strategic positioning, none of these goals will ultimately succeed. He assured the public that Syria’s occupied territories would be liberated by the country’s brave youth and that, with God’s help, foreign forces, including the U.S., would be driven out of the region.

Reflecting on Iran’s involvement in Syria, Khamenei explained that Iran’s military presence had two main goals: protecting sacred sites and securing the region. Drawing on the teachings of Imam Ali, he emphasized the importance of confronting enemies before they reach one’s doorstep, which led to Iran’s decision to send military advisors and aid to Syria.

Khamenei also clarified that Iran’s role in Syria had been focused on advisory support and training local fighters, rather than engaging in direct combat. He praised the efforts of Iranian volunteers who, with passion and determination, joined the battle to resist ISIS and other aggressors in both Iraq and Syria.

Regarding Syria’s internal challenges, Khamenei noted that while local resistance fighters had shown remarkable bravery, the weaknesses within the Syrian military had hindered their efforts. He stressed that when the spirit of resistance falters, the consequences are often dire, as seen in the current situation in Syria.

Finally, Khamenei revealed that Iran had been warning Syrian officials for months about the potential threat, providing intelligence reports well in advance. However, he expressed uncertainty about whether these warnings were fully received by Syria’s leadership. He reiterated the need for vigilance, cautioning that underestimating the enemy could lead to devastating consequences.
