Tehran’s Azadi Tower Illuminated in Green and White for Pakistan Day

 

Tehran’s iconic Azadi Tower lit up in green and white ahead of Pakistan Day, celebrated annually on March 23. The landmark, known locally as Burj Azadi, displayed the Pakistani and Iranian flags, with the national anthems of both countries playing in the background.

Ambassador of Pakistan in Tehran, Mudassir Tipu, attended the event, which was witnessed by Pakistani expatriates, students, and media representatives. The celebration featured traditional Pakistani music, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage and diverse landscapes.

Ambassador Tipu expressed gratitude to the Iranian government for its support in marking the occasion. He emphasized Pakistan’s deep-rooted history, mentioning ancient civilizations like Harappa, Moenjodaro, and Mehrgarh, and highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and tourism to strengthen bilateral ties.

The event underscored the historical and diplomatic significance of Pakistan-Iran relations, fostering unity through shared traditions and mutual respect.
