Thousands Protest in Jerusalem, Demand Ceasefire for Hostage Release

Thousands of demonstrators gathered outside the Prime Minister’s Residence in Jerusalem today, urging the Israeli government to extend the ceasefire in Gaza to facilitate the release of hostages still held by Hamas.

Protesters, including families of hostages, activists, and political leaders, held banners and placards, chanting for a diplomatic solution to ensure the safe return of those in captivity.

The rally comes amid ongoing negotiations over a potential extension of the ceasefire, which has led to previous hostage releases. However, fears of renewed military escalation have intensified as Israel weighs its next moves.

The Israeli government has yet to make an official statement on the protest, but pressure continues to mount from both domestic and international communities for a humanitarian resolution to the crisis.
