Trump Acknowledges Starvation in Gaza as Israeli Strikes Intensify, Martyr Dozens
Report by Safarti Tarjuman International Desk
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has sharply escalated as Israeli airstrikes continue to claim civilian lives, drawing global concern. In a recent statement during his visit to Abu Dhabi, U.S. President Donald Trump admitted, “A lot of people are starving” in Gaza, highlighting the growing severity of the situation. His remarks come as Israeli forces ramp up aerial bombardments across the region, Martyr more than 120 Palestinians over the past 48 hours, including women and children.
The southern city of Khan Younis has been one of the hardest-hit areas. Airstrikes on the Gaza European Hospital resulted in at least 28 Martyr and over 40 injuries. Officials reported major structural damage, indicating possible underground infrastructure beneath the targeted site. Meanwhile, Gaza’s only cancer treatment facility has become non-operational following recent strikes, further crippling the territory’s already fragile healthcare system.
President Trump’s comments signal a possible shift in Washington’s stance. While he stopped short of announcing a policy change, he assured that the United States is “looking at Gaza” and intends to address the crisis. His remarks were made amid a tour of the Middle East, which notably excluded Israel. During the trip, Trump signed major agreements, including a deal to establish the UAE’s largest AI campus outside the U.S., reflecting strategic focus on regional partnerships.
International outcry continues to grow. Human Rights Watch has condemned Israel’s blockade on Gaza, labeling it a “crime against humanity.” Aid groups warn that food, water, and medical supplies remain critically scarce. Families of hostages and global human rights organizations are urging Israel to pursue a ceasefire, but Israeli officials blame Hamas for stalled negotiations and continue their offensive operations.
As the crisis deepens, calls for an immediate ceasefire and unrestricted humanitarian access are intensifying. With conditions in Gaza worsening by the day, the international community is urging swift diplomatic action to prevent further loss of life and restore regional stability.
