President-elect Donald Trump has named Caroline Leavitt as the incoming White House Press Secretary, making her the youngest individual in U.S. history to take on this role at just 27 years old.
Leavitt, a native of New Hampshire, is an alumna of Saint Anselm College, where she studied Communications and Political Science. Her career trajectory includes a notable tenure as an Assistant Press Secretary during Trump’s first administration, demonstrating her adeptness at political communications and public relations.
Trump lauded Leavitt’s qualifications, stating, “Caroline’s intelligence and communication skills are exactly what we need to connect with the American people and carry forward our vision. Her commitment and effectiveness have been clear, and I am eager for her to lead our media efforts.”
Following her initial White House role, Leavitt served as Communications Director for Republican Representative Elise Stefanik, who has now been nominated to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
