Trump Declares ‘Nothing Will Stop Me’ During 100-Day Rally in Michigan
Report By Safarti Tarjuman International Desk
U.S. President Donald Trump marked his first 100 days in office with a fiery campaign-style rally in Michigan, vowing that “nothing will stop me” as he railed against Democrats, federal judges, and immigration policies he labeled dangerous to national security.
Speaking to supporters at the Macomb Sports & Expo Center in Warren — a key battleground suburb near Detroit — Trump boasted of what he called the “most successful first 100 days” in American history. However, the event drew a modest turnout, with large sections of the venue remaining empty and attendees steadily exiting before his 89-minute speech concluded.
“We’ve delivered profound change in Washington like never before,” Trump declared, claiming his administration had unleashed a new era of strength, manufacturing revival, and immigration enforcement. He harshly criticized “communist radical left judges,” blaming them for obstructing his executive authority.
Immigration, Deportation, and a Controversial Video
Trump highlighted his crackdown on illegal immigration, invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to justify recent mass deportations. In a dramatic moment, he aired a video showing deported Venezuelan immigrants arriving at a notorious Salvadoran prison, accompanied by cinematic music. The video, originally posted by El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, was followed by the slogan “100 Days of Greatness” on large screens, prompting chants of “USA! USA!”
The president accused Democrats of orchestrating a “border invasion” and pledged continued mass deportations. “We are delivering mass deportation while they deliver mass invasion,” he said.
Judicial Attacks and Supreme Court Hope
Trump denounced judges who have blocked his orders, saying, “We cannot allow a handful of communist, radical-left judges to obstruct the laws and seize power from the president.” He expressed hope that the U.S. Supreme Court would intervene to support his policies.
Theatrics and Support for Allies
Banners in the arena read “Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!”, “The Golden Age”, and “Buy American, Hire American”. Supporters held “Trump 2028” signs, though he is constitutionally barred from a third term. At one point, White House aide Margo Martin asked the crowd, “Trump 2028, anybody?” to roaring applause.
Trump also voiced strong backing for embattled Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and praised billionaire Elon Musk, referring to him as the head of his unofficial “Department of Government Efficiency,” or DOGE.
Fixation on the Past and Culture Wars
Although celebrating his current term, Trump repeatedly returned to past grievances, again falsely claiming victory in the 2020 election and dismissing unfavorable media polls as “fake news.”
Democratic Response
Ken Martin, chair of the Democratic National Committee, dismissed the rally as “a pathetic display,” adding: “Trump has the lowest 100-day approval rating in generations. Americans see through his chaos and cruelty.”
Despite his defiant rhetoric, Trump’s approval ratings have stagnated, and his Michigan appearance comes amid rising unemployment in the state, a crucial indicator ahead of the 2026 midterms.
