Trump Plans to Visit Saudi Arabia Next Month in First Foreign Trip

US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he intends to visit Saudi Arabia next month, marking the first foreign trip of his second term in office. The visit, which could take place as early as May, will also include stops in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Sources close to the matter indicated that mid-May is being considered for the trip. Trump’s first foreign visit during his initial term in 2017 included stops in Saudi Arabia and Israel.

Key topics of discussion during the trip are expected to include the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and the situation in Gaza. Saudi Arabia has been actively involved in international diplomacy, including hosting ceasefire talks between Russia and Ukraine.

A White House official confirmed that the president’s overseas travel plans are under consideration but have not yet been finalized. The official added that further details would be shared when the trip is officially confirmed.
