Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned that Israel is spreading its conflict from Gaza to other countries, particularly Lebanon. During a press conference, he highlighted the urgent need for Western nations to pressure Israel for a ceasefire.
Erdogan pointed out that it has been a year since the onset of Israeli aggression in Gaza, and the situation now poses a risk to regional stability as Israel increases military actions in Lebanon. He called on all countries and organizations that value global peace to step in and halt Israel’s expansionist behavior.
Furthermore, Erdogan urged the United Nations to intensify humanitarian efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire in Gaza. His comments come in the wake of recent violence in Lebanon, where rocket and armed assaults led to the deaths of 37 people and injuries to over 3,000, prompting Hezbollah to retaliate with numerous rockets aimed at Israel.
